Medical Ethics Program

Ethics Teaching Schedule-London Residents

Residents will participate in this program during their Family Medicine block time. The London residents (BFMC, SJFMC, VFMC) will attend the sessions together (see on-line schedule for location). The Rural and Regional residents (SWMHC, Strathroy, Tavistock, Ilderton, Hanover, and Goderich) will attend together in Mount Brydges at the SWMHC. The sessions will take place on one Wednesday morning during each of the 16 week Family Medicine blocks in Years 1 and 2. There will also be mandatory web-based modules in addition to the small group sessions.  These modules are currently being developed.

The sessions will be facilitated by Mr. Robert Sibbald, a clinical ethicist at LHSC. The program will cover a wide variety of topics relevant to ethics in Family Medicine.  Residents are encouraged to bring ethical cases that they have encountered in their training as there will be time to discuss these at the sessions.
