Characteristics of Practice

Shared practice with 3 physicians (Dr. Bonnie Marshall, Dr. Shaun Marshall and Dr. Mark Moores) in this practice and 3 others in the same medical centre. 50 bed GP run hospital, surgeon, internist, obstetrics practice. Rural medicine including Emergency, Inpatient, Surgical assists, GP anesthesia as well as Family Practice.

Average 30-40 patients per day, regular emergency and anesthesia work and 5 house calls per week. Outpatient procedures and chemotherapy satellite for LRCC. Special interests: emerg & anesthesia. Emerg schedule 1 in 6 and practice is currently a FHN/FHT and is using an electronic medical record and has PACS access in office.

Wingham is a town of 3000, serving a population of 14,000. It is located a ½ hour from Lake Huron and 1 ¼ hours north of London on Highway #4. Apartment next door to hospital.

This is a rural community with a large Amish population. Thriving economy based on agriculture, automotive, and housing with a large recreation centre for post call squash, swimming, hockey or working out. There is an active group of runners, cyclists, and cross country skiers.
