Characteristics of Practice
A group of 8 practitioners serving a farming community with many young families. There are computerized records and internet access from each exam room. Mix of 16-25 patients per day, 7-10 ER shifts per month (2 being 12 hour weekend shifts per month), palliative care, house-calls, nursing home care, many small procedures in office and in hospital, in-patient care.
Can arrange GP sigmoidosocopy experience. Many casting opportunities. Free parking. Free daily coffee in the doctor’s lounge.
Laboratory and X-ray. The hours of practice are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Description of Location
4 of 8 MD’s live in London, 1 lives in Wellburn and 3 live in St. Mary's. St. Mary's is a town in southwestern Ontario located approximately 15-20 km southwest of Stratford.
St. Mary's is 25 minutes North of London off Hwy 7. Take Highbury North to Highway 7, turn right (east) onto Hwy 7. Turn left onto Prospect Hill Rd (about 8 min drive from Highbury and Hwy 7 intersection). Take Prospect Hill Rd. until you reach the town of St. Mary's (you will pass through the towns of Prospect Hill and Rannoch, about 15 min drive). Once in St. Mary's, turn left onto Ingersoll St. (you will see Emerg Dept immediately on your right after turning onto Ingersoll) and then right onto Maiden Lane and right into the Wellness Centre. The St. Mary's Medical Clinic is located on the main floor of the Wellness Centre.

St. Mary's is a small, quaint town with a population of approximately 6,300. It is known as "The Stone Town” for many of its structures are carved out of limestone. St. Mary's is home to a large cement manufacturer and a mixed farming area. It offers a number of tourist sites such as the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, the Quarries, antique shops, "Little Falls”, farmers market, and many Bed & Breakfast accommodations.
